Facility Cleaner

The Facility Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of One50Fitness, ensuring that all areas of the facility are safe, clean, and welcoming for members and staff. This role involves cleaning gym equipment, restrooms, locker rooms, common areas, and ensuring that the facility meets high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the day. This is a part-time position.
Key Responsibilities

General Cleaning : Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility, including gym floors, machines, equipment, locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
Equipment Cleaning : Wipe down and disinfect gym equipment (e.g., treadmills, weights, bikes) to ensure a clean and hygienic workout environment for members.
Restroom Maintenance : Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms, including replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Floor Care : Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean floors throughout the facility, especially in high-traffic areas.
Trash Removal : Empty trash cans throughout the facility and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
Sanitation of High-Touch Areas : Regularly disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, handrails, and water fountains.
Routine Cleaning : Follow a cleaning schedule to ensure all areas of the facility are cleaned regularly and thoroughly.
Deep Cleaning : Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed, such as carpet cleaning, window washing, or cleaning behind and under equipment.
Supply Management : Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and notify the manager of low inventory levels.
Health & Safety Standards : Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of appropriate cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintenance Reporting : Report any maintenance issues, broken equipment, or safety hazards to the Facility Manager.
Assisting Staff and Members : Assist in maintaining a safe environment by removing debris, cleaning spills, and ensuring walkways are clear.
Customer Service : Maintain a friendly, approachable attitude when interacting with staff and members, and respond to inquiries or requests related to cleanliness.
Skills & Qualifications

Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
Organization : Ability to prioritize tasks and follow a cleaning schedule to ensure efficiency.
Physical Stamina : Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Time Management : Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks within the designated work hours.
Teamwork : Ability to work well as part of a team, cooperating with other facility staff to maintain a clean environment.
Communication Skills : Good communication skills to coordinate with other team members and report any issues to the management.
Professionalism : Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with staff and gym members.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous Cleaning Experience : Prior experience in janitorial or cleaning work, preferably in a fitness center, gym, or similar environment.
Knowledge of Cleaning Chemicals : Familiarity with cleaning products and chemicals, and an understanding of how to use them safely.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and lifting cleaning supplies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily cleaning goals.
Work Schedule

Flexible hours, with early mornings, nights, and/or weekends as needed to ensure the facility is clean and prepared for members at all times.
Availability to work during non-peak hours for deep cleaning.
