The Soft Count Team Member performs the daily collection of bill validator boxes from slot machines and table games across the casino floor. This role is essential to ensuring accurate financial reporting, strict compliance, and the safeguarding of company assets.
Key Responsibilities
Perform the daily drop of all slot machines and designated table games in accordance with established procedures
Remove full bill validator boxes and replace them with empty, secured units
Transport collected boxes using secured carts to the count room
Accurately log, track, and verify all collected assets and maintain detailed count sheets
Input count data into casino management systems for audit and reporting purposes
Follow all internal controls, security protocols, and Nevada Gaming compliance standards at all times
Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity in handling all monetary assets
Work collaboratively with team members while also demonstrating the ability to operate independently
Maintain a professional and positive demeanor with guests, team members, and vendors
Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns in a professional manner
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Education & Experience
Must be 21 years of age or older
Previous experience handling cash is required
Basic computer and math skills required
Ability to operate a 10-key calculator efficiently
Working knowledge of systems such as S.D.S or Casino Market Place is a plus
Additional Requirements:
Good verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Must be able to conduct hands-on training with verbal instructions given.
Must have previous experience in handling cash.
Respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from guests.
Must be flexible and able to work early mornings and weekends.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
Required Work Cards:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming Registration in accordance with Nevada law
