Corporate Trainer (Secondary Market Due Diligence)

This role develops and delivers training programs that support secondary market mortgage due diligence operations, including credit, compliance, TRID, valuation, data integrity, and securitization-related review workflows. Training includes instruction on the Laura Mac system and investor-specific requirements. Classes will be delivered for two cohorts: trainees with some mortgage experience and trainees with zero mortgage experience.
Design and deliver training programs for secondary market due diligence, including credit review, compliance review, ATR/QM, TRID, data validation, investor-specific requirements, and the Laura Mac system.
Facilitate new hire training for due diligence underwriters and new associates, including separate training tracks for trainees with some mortgage experience and trainees with zero mortgage experience.
Develop and maintain SOPs, job aids, workflow guides, and reference materials.
Conduct live virtual and in-person training sessions, refreshers, and calibration workshops.
Evaluate training effectiveness using quality trends, audit results, and performance data, and adjust training plans accordingly.
Partner with operations leadership and quality teams to identify skill gaps, provide coaching, and support skills assessments or certification programs.
Maintain accurate training records and attendance logs and support audit or client requests related to training documentation.
Ensure training content aligns with investor expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
Minimum 5 years as a trainer in Secondary Market (due diligence, credit risk review, or securitization-related operations).
Strong expertise in the Laura Mac system.
Strong understanding of credit, compliance, TRID, valuation/collateral, and data integrity review processes.
Experience training, mentoring, and coaching operational staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
Experience using an income calculator for income analysis training or validation.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to translate complex investor requirements into clear, actionable training content.
