Role Overview:
The Senior Manager of Streaming Operations is responsible for the day‑to‑day execution and operational excellence of Paramount+ global Tier 1 live streaming events. This role sits at the center of live event delivery, ensuring that high‑visibility broadcasts are reliable, secure, and delivered at the highest quality to audiences around the world. You will oversee critical components of the live streaming technology stack—from cloud‑based acquisition through delivery—while monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues in real time, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure flawless live event execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead operational execution for UFC, Zuffa Boxing, Professional Bull Riding (PBR), and additional sports, entertainment, and special live broadcasts.
Ensure all live events are fully staffed and operationally prepared, including:
Acquisition plans
Encoding and packaging workflows
Ad delivery plans
Highlight clipping support
Communication channels for all critical stakeholders
Executive briefings before and during events
Post‑event recaps and documentation
Serve as the primary operational point of contact during live events, escalating incidents and coordinating rapid resolution across engineering teams, vendors, and network partners.
Maintain detailed runbooks, operational documentation, and incident reports.
Additional Responsibilities
Support testing, onboarding, and validation of new streaming technologies, workflows, and vendor solutions.
Participate in on‑call and off‑hours rotations aligned with live event schedules.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in live streaming operations, broadcast operations, or OTT delivery environments.
Strong hands‑on experience with live streaming technologies and protocols (HLS, DASH, MPEG‑TS, RTMP, SRT, etc.).
Working knowledge of cloud‑based streaming architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Experience operating and troubleshooting encoders, packagers, and origin services.
Familiarity with CDN platforms and traffic routing strategies.
Experience with QoS/QoE monitoring and analytics tools.
Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive in high‑pressure, live event environments.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large‑scale, global Tier 1 live events.
Background in media technology operations.
Familiarity with DRM, SSAI/ad insertion, and live event redundancy strategies.
Experience working with third‑party streaming vendors and managed service providers.

Live events launch and complete with minimal incidents and an exceptional viewer experience.
Issues are identified and resolved quickly, with clear communication and thorough documentation.
Streaming workflows are continuously optimized for reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

Hiring Salary Range
Hiring Salary Range: $98,400.00 - 150,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
