Job DetailsMinimum 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience. 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing underwriters. Strong working knowledge of mortgage business operations procedures for loan origination. Knowledge of mortgage servicing operations is a plus. Knowledge of federal and state compliance laws and regulations, including a proven ability to apply these requirements to business practices and systems. Examples: TRID, RESPA, TILA, ECOA, and HMDA, points and fees, watch lists, red flags for fraud, identity theft, money laundering, etc. Strong understanding of mortgage credit risk, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance.
