Senior Communications Specialist
At PCL Constructors Inc., part of the PCL Family of Companies, we build opportunities, careers and communities. As a Senior Communications Specialist in Edmonton, Alberta, you will deliver enterprise‑wide communications and change management strategies to help our business grow.

Responsibilities

Lead communication plans for large projects and initiatives, ensuring they are measurable.

Coordinate and manage resources and change management processes to ensure success.

Develop and maintain strong, customer‑focused relationships with key internal stakeholders and decision makers, acting as a trusted advisor to senior management and executives.

Communicate complex information through written communication tailored to the right audience, providing recommendations on appropriate communication medium and ensuring PCL standards are met.

Provide superior editing and proofreading support.

Support the PCL brand, ensuring all published pieces match the brand voice, tone and style guide requirements.

Work closely with the Creative Services team to meet video and graphic design requirements.

Build relationships with all levels of internal clients and support their initiatives with various communication and change management tactics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in corporate communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or related field.

10 or more years of progressive communications experience.

Experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industry is preferred.

Proven ability to develop and deliver large‑scale communications and change management plans.

Superb verbal, writing, editing and proofreading skills (portfolio samples will be requested at interview).

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Adobe creative software such as InDesign and Photoshop is an asset.

Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.

Collaborative and team‑focused, with the ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal teammates and clients.
