Develop a Research-Driven Content and Editorial Strategy for Refugee Nonprofit
Creshendo is seeking a senior research and content strategist to help design and launch a focused research and publishing function. We operate at the intersection of migration, storytelling, and economic mobility. Our programs generate valuable insights from real communities. We now need a clear structure to translate those insights into strong, public-facing thought leadership.
Over a 6–8 week engagement the volunteer will help us:
Define a clear content and editorial strategy with monthly themes
Establish a consistent voice and positioning for research outputs
Design a structure for translating program data and lived experience into insight‑driven content
Create a publishing approach for Substack and external visibility
Outline how to collaborate with program and M&E teams to gather inputs
Recommend a structure for managing a small editorial team
Key deliverables include a content strategy document, editorial framework, publishing plan, and team structure recommendations. This is a short‑term project focused on building a system that our team can implement and sustain.
The role includes working with our Executive Director and research team. The organization will provide current content examples, draft materials, access to contributors and team leads, and insight into how content is currently developed and managed. We are looking for someone who can bring structure and clarity to a growing function.
Creshendo’s mission is to empower displaced populations by fostering their integration and self‑reliance. Through specialized programs and support services, we equip them with the tools, knowledge, and resources to navigate new environments, advocate for their needs, and achieve their aspirations.
