What to Expect
Consider before submitting an application:

This position is expected to start August or September 2026 and continue through fall term (ending approximately December 2026 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full‑time (40 hours/week) and on‑site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full‑time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on‑site. Many students will be limited to part‑time during the academic year.

We provide an experience that allows the intern to experience life at Tesla by including them in projects that are critical to their team's success.

About the Team

We are looking for a Video Producer to join our Video Content team based in Fremont, CA. This person will be responsible for both creative and logistical aspects of video projects. The Video Content team produces videos across our social, web, event and global channels. Each member is passionately driven and has the necessary attitude to work effectively as part of a highly collaborative team as well as independently when needed, in a fast‑paced work environment.

What You’ll Do

Develop video concepts that effectively serve business needs and build storyboards to communicate the concept to stakeholders and collaborators

Brainstorm, coordinate, capture and edit Tesla social media content

Coordinate interdepartmentally within Tesla to plan video shoots

Identify and scout locations / arrange location rentals

Permit roads for car‑to‑car shoots and work with relevant law enforcement, insurance, and permitting agencies to arrange for intermittent traffic control

Create shotlists, shoot schedules, and call sheets

Acquire rental equipment and props

Operate video cameras on shoots: design and execute effective shots for the content

Maintain clear and consistent communication within the team and among all parties involved

Be effective with time and budget and capable of tackling local, out of state or international one‑day or one‑week productions and beyond

Hire and manage talent and/or external vendors when needed

Experience with drone operation is a plus

What You’ll Bring

Currently pursuing a degree in Film, Production, or related fields

Experienced camera operator and video producer

Pre‑production and shoot planning experience from storyboarding to permitting and planning

Creative, organized with attention to detail

Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel

Experience with creating content for social media

Proficiency with Adobe Premiere is preferred

Expected Compensation
$20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
