Position Summary
The Design Technician supports the design and preparation of liner specifications for manufacturing by translating customer requirements into production-ready documentation. This role works closely with technical and operations teams to ensure designs are accurate, complete, and aligned with business standards.
Key Responsibilities
Translate customer purchase orders and specifications into liner design documentation
Develop and maintain construction sheets using standardized templates
Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP systems
Maintain organized design records and project documentation
Coordinate with production and cross-functional teams to support execution
Assist with documentation updates and continuous improvement efforts
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Preferred
Internship or coursework related to manufacturing, materials, or infrastructure
Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar)
Exposure to CAD, design calculations, or technical documentation
Key Competencies
Detail-oriented and organized
Analytical and process-driven
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to learn quickly in a technical environment
Tools / Systems
Microsoft Excel
ERP systems (NetSuite or similar)
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to manufacturing environments
Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer
Occasional plant floor interaction requiring standard PPE
