Position Reports To: Sr. Manager, Brand Design
General Description
While working closely with each of the graphic designers in the Ravens Brand Strategy & Advertising group, this role will handle a variety of projects to support all Ravens Marketing initiatives. They will assist in the creation of marketing materials to promote Ravens event, brand and ticket advertising; digital and social media graphics for use by the Ravens entertainment groups; stadium videoboard graphics and signage; team publications and more. This position is a highly collaborative opportunity to work with a team of designers who support all aspects of the Ravens organization.

The Graphic Designer will handle a high volume of production work, including the creation of alternate sizes and formats for large scale campaigns; and will also be tasked with suggesting new concepts to consider for existing initiatives.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Production

Support the Ravens Marketing team in the creation and delivery of graphics to promote and activate events, fan activation programs, entertainment groups, brand campaigns and ticket promotions.

In many cases, be responsible for creating alternate versions and formats for placements across print, digital and in-stadium touch points. This will include edits to existing materials and updates to be made throughout the season as games and events take place.

Collaborate with the other designers in the group, as well as marketing personnel, on each specific initiative to ensure that all materials are created and delivered accurately and on time.

Conceptualize, create and deliver design solutions to fulfill a wide variety of requests from across the organization, including Football Operations

Help execute marketing campaigns for brand, ticketing, media, marketing and event initiatives that could include print, outdoor, in-stadium, email, social, web, mobile, apparel and experiential activations

Use creative skills to not only work with the group to deliver on these assets but to consider alternate options, styles, and new ideas that could extend the brand, whether it be to reach a new audience or for use on a new platform

Key Projects

Take part in the development of annual Brand Campaign while translating official style guide into a wide array of ancillary assets

Support key ticketing initiatives including our Purple Rising and Darkness games by developing collateral, giveaways, videoboards and other extensions

Work on creative projects that support key Fan Engagement initiatives, including the Ravens Gaming League and Girls Flag Football, as well as Marketing events, including Training Camp, Watch Parties and A Purple Evening

Create a variety of graphic assets to support the Ravens Cheerleaders, Baltimore’s Marching Ravens and Ravens mascot program, including social media content, print materials, and end-of-season yearbooks

Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of experience creating graphics for a sports or entertainment entity.

Possess good knowledge of the business of sports to understand how marketing, and by association graphic design, help contribute to the overall business operation of a professional sports organization.

Experience in creating advertising, identity packages, and promotional materials for a variety of mediums including print publications, printed signage, web, email, and social media among other touch points.

Portfolio of work including both digital and print executions required.

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills

Creativity, ability to work well with others, openness to accept and seek feedback are key to succeeding in this role.

Experience with Adobe Creative suite, most importantly Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign a must.

Experience with a work management software such as Asana a plus.

Strong attention to detail and have some experience preparing files for print, digital, and other tangible items such as t-shirts, hats or giveaway items.

Experience with animation, photography, and photo management software such as Photoshelter is highly desirable, but not required for this position.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to learn quickly.

Must have the ability to work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary and Benefits

Range: $58,000 - 68,000

Company-paid health insurance, including health and vision. Dental insurance also provided with minimal employee contribution

Paid time off to include 20 vacation days and 5 personal/sick days
