
Content Writer

Responsibilities
The Content Writer is responsible for independently developing high-quality, engaging, and strategically aligned content that supports the credit union’s marketing, brand, and business goals. This role creates and refines content across multiple formats and channels including website pages, blogs, email campaigns, social media, and traditional and digital marketing initiatives while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
Reporting to the Content Team Lead, the Content Writer partners closely with marketing, creative, and subject matter teams to execute content strategies, contribute ideas, and optimize content based on performance insights. This role requires strong writing and editing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple projects with limited oversight.
Independently write, edit, and proofread content across traditional and digital marketing channels, including websites, blogs, emails, social media, and omnichannel campaigns
Ensure all content adheres to brand voice, tone, messaging frameworks, and AP Style guidelines
Apply SEO best practices and audience insights to improve content effectiveness and reach
Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to develop content that supports campaign and business objectives
Manage assigned projects and deadlines with minimal supervision
Revise and optimize content based on feedback, data, and performance metrics
Contribute ideas to content planning, editorial calendars, and ongoing content strategy discussions
Lead or support content audits, updates and large‑scale content initiatives as needed
Serve as a reliable execution partner to the Content Team Lead, escalating risks or gaps proactively

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple content formats
Advanced knowledge of AP Style
Excellent attention to detail and quality control
Ability to adapt voice, tone, and messaging for different audiences and channels
Solid understanding of SEO, digital content best practices, and performance-driven content
Experience working in content management systems and project management tools
