Senior Business Development Officer
Breakthrough Broker, Denver, CO, United States
About Us
At Breakthrough Broker, we help real estate agents, brokerages, and teams achieve sustainable success. We offer premium marketing designs, business tools, and learning resources that help agents take action every day. We're a small but mighty team — and a proud subsidiary of Fidelity National Financial (FNF), one of the nation's leading financial services companies — and we're growing.
The Role
We're looking for a seasoned Senior Business Development Officer to drive growth by building meaningful relationships with broker-owners and key decision-makers across the real estate industry. This is a high-impact, full-cycle role — you'll own both outbound prospecting and inbound opportunity management, lead compelling product demos, and close deals that expand our footprint across brokerages and teams. Firsthand experience in the real estate industry is required; you need to understand how broker-owners think, the challenges they face day to day, and what it takes to earn their trust and business.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position with a set in-office schedule:
- In office: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (required)
- Remote: Tuesday, Friday
What You'll Do
Business Development & Prospecting
- Identify, target, and engage broker-owners, team leaders, and key decision-makers across the real estate industry
- Build and manage a robust pipeline through outbound outreach — cold calls, email campaigns, industry events, and referrals
- Respond to and qualify inbound leads, moving prospects efficiently through the sales funnel
- Develop and execute territory and account strategies to maximize market penetration
- Represent Breakthrough Broker at real estate conferences, association events, and industry meetups
Demos & Closing
- Lead high-quality, tailored product demonstrations that connect our platform's value to each broker's specific needs and pain points
- Navigate complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, building consensus from agents to ownership
- Prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close agreements with confidence
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff from signed deal to onboarding
Relationship Management
- Cultivate long-term relationships with broker-owners and decision-makers, becoming a trusted advisor rather than just a vendor
- Maintain regular touchpoints with existing accounts to identify expansion and referral opportunities
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally, sharing market feedback to inform product and strategy
Reporting & Strategy
- Keep CRM records accurate and up to date — pipeline, activity, notes, and forecasts
- Report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence on a regular basis
- Collaborate with leadership on go-to-market strategy, pricing, and growth initiatives
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of business development, sales, or account executive experience — with a proven track record of closing
- Deep, firsthand experience in the real estate industry — you understand how brokerages operate, what broker-owners care about, and how to speak their language
- Established relationships or a strong network within the real estate brokerage community is a significant plus
- Experience selling SaaS or tech solutions to real estate professionals preferred
- Strong demo and presentation skills — you can adapt your pitch to the room and make complex tools feel simple and compelling
- Comfortable managing a full sales cycle from first touch to signed agreement
- Self-directed and results-driven — you don't wait to be told what to do
- Exceptional communicator, both written and verbal
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
Benefits
As a subsidiary of Fidelity National Financial, our employees receive access to FNF's comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Life insurance, AD&D, and short-term disability coverage
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
- Paid time off, holidays, and sick time
- Tuition reimbursement
- Employee assistance programs and wellness resources
- Discounts on travel, dining, entertainment, and more
