Title: Controls Design Engineer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Shift: Monday - Friday onsite

Compensation: $70,000 - 90,000 (overtime opportunities + bonuses)

Interview process: 2 round interview process

Must haves

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• 3–7 years of experience working as an Electrical or Controls Design Engineer
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting control systems and industrial equipment
• PLC and HMI programming experience (Rockwell / Allen‑Bradley required)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pluses

• Vision system experience with Cognex and/or Keyence cameras
• Robotics experience (any platform)

Job description:

We are seeking a Controls Design Engineer to design, develop, and support electrical control systems for industrial equipment and machinery. This role is hands‑on and client‑facing, involving both new system development and troubleshooting of existing PLC‑based control systems. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise paired with solid communication skills to collaborate with project managers and customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial equipment and machinery
• Create and modify PLC and HMI programs, primarily using Rockwell / Allen‑Bradley platforms
• Troubleshoot and support existing control systems and automation equipment
• Provide technical support during system installation and commissioning
• Communicate technical information clearly to project managers, customers, and end users
• Support projects through the full lifecycle, from design through implementation

Compensation

$70,000 to $90,000 per year annual salary.
