About PromiseStudios | Film, Media & Creative Production
PromiseStudios is MAP’s creative division responsible for film, visual storytelling, and media production. Through short-form documentaries, social content, and narrative projects, the division brings together research, story, and production to create meaningful impact.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Associate Producer to support the development and execution of film and media projects. This role focuses on research, coordination, scripting support, and production logistics—ensuring that ideas are fully developed and that all elements needed for production are in place. This is a high-ownership support role that helps turn creative vision into organized, executable work.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Story Development
- Conduct research to support film concepts, scripts, and storylines
- Gather background information, references, and contextual material
- Support development of treatments and scripts
Production Coordination
- Help organize shoots, schedules, and production timelines
- Coordinate logistics, locations, and necessary elements for filming
- Support communication between team members
Outreach & Communication
- Make calls, send emails, and coordinate with participants, partners, or contributors
- Help secure interviews, locations, and permissions where needed
- Maintain professional and organized external communication
Content & Asset Gathering
- Collect footage, documents, references, and supporting materials
- Ensure all necessary elements are ready for production and post-production
- Maintain organized files and production materials
Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with filmmakers and creative leads
- Support project tracking and progress across stages
- Ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
Communication & Responsiveness
- Maintain timely, professional communication via Google Workspace
- Coordinate across creative, program, and production teams
Qualifications
Required
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to conduct research and synthesize information
- Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values
Preferred
- Experience in media, film, journalism, or production support
- Experience with research, scripting, or content development
- Comfort with outreach and coordination
- Interest in storytelling and social impact media
Commitment
- Volunteer role
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week
- Minimum 6-month commitment required
- Hybrid / remote
