About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) to be the driving force behind its global R&D strategy. The CSO will be responsible for defining and implementing a unified scientific strategy that encompasses all stages of the development process, from discovery to commercial interface. This pivotal role involves prioritizing pipeline assets, leading R&D operations, and ensuring scientific excellence and operational rigor across all programs. The successful candidate will also be tasked with guiding the development of internal capabilities, managing external partnerships, and serving as a scientific ambassador with regulatory agencies and industry partners.

Applicants for the CSO position at the company must have a PhD, PharmD, or MD in a relevant scientific discipline, with a preference for organic chemistry. A minimum of 10 years' progressive senior leadership experience in biotech or biopharma is required, with a proven track record of advancing programs through various stages of development. The role demands a deep understanding of global regulatory frameworks and experience in major submissions. The ideal candidate will have a history of managing complex scientific organizations, evaluating external innovations, and possess strong communication skills for public representation in scientific and clinical settings. The CSO will also be responsible for building and mentoring high-performing scientific teams and must be adept at managing scientific budgets and resources to align with corporate strategy.
