Greenskeeper II
Marin Country Club is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as Greenskeeper II. This position is ideal for someone with an enthusiasm for working with their hands and seeing instant results in the work they accomplish, all while developing skills in turf maintenance at a top-level facility. Working alongside the rest of the Agronomy team, this individual will be exposed to all aspects of maintaining the golf course and property grounds to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for all members and guests who visit the club.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Maintain greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers to private-club standards
Assist with daily course setup
Perform hand-watering, raking, edging, and detailed finish work
Operate and care for specialized turf maintenance equipment
Assist with basic irrigation repairs
Assist with the application of materials to the course including but not limited to fertilizers, sand, mulch, and seed
Monitor turf conditions and communicate concerns to supervisors
Uphold safety, professionalism, and discretion while working around members
Qualifications:
Must be able to follow written and verbal directions
Prior golf course maintenance or landscaping experience preferred but not required
Professional demeanor and respect for member privacy
Team oriented attitude and good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift 50lbs and walk/stand for extended periods of time
Strong work ethic and attention to detail is a must
Availability to work early mornings
Availability to work weekends and holidays
Valid driver's license preferred
