Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) PhysicianPosition Summary The Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to women across the lifespan. This role includes preventive care, management of gynecologic conditions, and obstetric services, with an emphasis on evidence-based, patient-centered care and collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patientsManage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum careDiagnose and treat acute and chronic gynecologic conditionsPerform routine gynecologic examinations and preventive screeningsPerform obstetric and gynecologic surgical procedures within scope of practiceConduct vaginal and cesarean deliveries as indicatedDevelop and implement individualized treatment plansOrder, interpret, and document diagnostic tests and imagingEducate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive careCollaborate with nursing staff, midwives, anesthesiology, pediatrics, and specialty consultantsMaintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentationParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiativesPractice SettingHospital and outpatient clinic settingsCall coverage and shift requirements based on practice modelPatient PopulationWomen across reproductive and post-reproductive stagesObstetric patients with low- to moderate-risk pregnanciesQualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency programBoard certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and GynecologyEligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing stateDEA registration or eligibilitySkills & CompetenciesBroad clinical and surgical expertise in obstetrics and gynecologyStrong clinical judgment and procedural skillsExcellent communication and patient education abilitiesCommitment to patient-centered, evidence-based careAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environmentWork EnvironmentWomen’s health and maternity care settingsMultidisciplinary, team-based care modelEmphasis on safety, quality outcomes, and continuity of care
