Interventional Cardiologist – Full-Time Opportunity in Dothan, Alabama VHS is actively seeking a highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist to join our premier cardiology team in Dothan, AL. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate professional to deliver comprehensive cardiovascular care within a leading regional health system. Position Overview: Location: Dothan, AlabamaSchedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PMCall Coverage: Shared among a team of eight cardiologists, averaging four calls per month, with potential to decrease as the team expandsKey Responsibilities: Perform a full spectrum of interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), TAVR, Watchman device implantation, and structural heart interventionsCollaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, and electrophysiologistsParticipate in the region’s only Heart & Vascular Center, which features advanced programs and servicesProvide outpatient and inpatient care, including consultation, diagnostic testing, and post-procedure follow-upMaintain active involvement in clinical decision-making and quality improvement initiativesQualifications & Requirements: Valid Alabama medical license and current DEA certificationBoard certification or eligibility in Interventional CardiologyFull competence in interventional cardiology proceduresProven excellent clinical skills and commitment to patient-centered careAbility to work effectively within a collaborative team environmentPractice Highlights and Benefits: Work in a state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory equipped with advanced imaging and procedural technologyAccess to comprehensive cardiac programs: structural heart, TAVR, Watchman, and moreAccredited Chest Pain Center with PCI from the American College of CardiologySupportive and innovative clinical environment with a dedicated cardiac rehab program incorporating pulmonary function testingOpportunities for professional growth and career development within a regional leader in cardiovascular careWhy Join Us?This position offers a fulfilling career with a highly respected healthcare system committed to excellence in cardiovascular medicine.
