Program Coordinator – Uptown Hub – Columbia
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator helps support many of the operational needs of the Hub as well as assist with direct support to the youth the program serves. The Program Coordinator also helps plan, coordinate, and facilitate programs, workshops and events in the Hub space and takes a lead role in the Hub’s summer programming and internships. The Youth Advocate is interested in becoming a Certified Youth Peer Advocate (CYPA) through support from the Office of Mental Health (OMH).
Specific Job Duties
Sustain a working understanding of all patient confidentiality requirements (HIPAA, NYP) and work with the Hub staff to implement privacy policies and best practices to protect Hub participant information.
Assist with enrolling youth into the Uptown Hub’s databases.
Assist in coordinating the monthly schedule of programs, events, and workshops offered at the Hub.
Assist in coordinating and carrying out outreach efforts within NYP and in the community.
Help create and maintain relationships with Community-Based Organizations as partners.
Track inventory of materials and supplies in the Hub space and help make purchases as needed.
Support outreach efforts of the Hub internally and in the community; co‑creating outreach materials and presentations.
Schedule, coordinate, and help facilitate the Hub’s programming events and workshops.
Help organize the Hub’s Summer internship, planning, organizing and carrying out the internship.
Help supervise youth in the program space and take on a small caseload of youth to work with 1:1 as needed.
Using the supportive guidance notes template, document outreach efforts, work completed with Hub members, and referral connections in Epic.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Preferred Criteria
Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience working with LGBT‑Q identified, runaway and homeless, foster care and/or immigrant youth populations.
Experience with program planning, development, and evaluation.
Understanding of and practice the principles of positive youth development and social emotional learning.
Knowledge and experience working with Epic, Canva, and other database platforms.
Degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related field.
Fluent Spanish.
Required Criteria
Bachelor’s degree or 3‑5 years of equivalent experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of community needs and of the Hospital and community resources to fill those needs.

$66,300-$89,000/Annual
