Segment Producer

Position Overview

Bloomberg Television is looking for a highly motivated segment producer to join our flagship afternoon programs in-person at our world headquarters in NYC.
Responsibilities

Produce segments for reporters, newsmakers and top guests on market-moving stories, take initiative on covering breaking news, find the appropriate voices under deadline pressure, and support senior producers, line producers and anchors. Join the show in the control room daily to call elements, check in reporters/guests, and make banners.

Produce segments for daily shows that cover the top market‑moving stories
Be proactive – pitch ideas, be creative, bring your expertise to the table and elevate our content
Pitch newsmakers and stories
Develop relationships within the business, finance communities globally
Work closely with the other producers and talent
Work well under pressure in a fast‑paced newsroom environment
Be able to pivot and react as news events evolve
You’ll Need To Have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
At least 3 years of experience producing for live TV
Knowledge of business news and the financial markets
Problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work under deadline pressure
Flexibility with hours
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $85,000–110,000 USD annually + benefits + bonus.
The referenced salary range is based on the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
