Technical Writer (AI / Prompt / NLP) - Home Loans

About the Role

We're seeking a highly experienced

Technical Writer

with deep expertise in

NLP, conversational AI, and prompt development

to support Home Loans initiatives for our PenFed client. This role requires strong technical writing skills, financial services knowledge, and hands-on experience building and refining AI-driven content.

Responsibilities
Develop, write, and edit technical documentation for AI, chatbot, and NLP solutions.
Build prompts, conversation flows, intents, entities, and structured content for LLM and chatbot systems.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate complex concepts into clear, accessible content.
Maintain documentation standards, style guides, and knowledge management best practices (including KCS).
Support mortgage, home loan, and loan-servicing content initiatives.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Technical Writing, Communications, Rhetoric , or related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years

technical writing and editing experience.
2+ years

hands-on experience with

NLP or conversational AI .
Advanced knowledge of documentation methods, writing frameworks, and style guides.
Experience with

knowledge management

and

KCS principles .
Preferred Qualifications

2+ years

experience in

financial services , especially mortgage or loan servicing.
Understanding of

financial institution structures , processes, and regulations.
Salesforce

experience.
Prior work supporting

Home Loans

or mortgage documentation programs.
