Job Summary
The Sports Anchor and MMJ is responsible for gathering daily sports content for newscasts and digital platforms at KOLO. They anchor the weekend sports segment and work directly with the Sports Director to execute a coordinated sports coverage strategy. The role requires high-energy on‑air talent with strong storytelling skills and extensive sports knowledge.

Duties/Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Sports Director to execute the department strategy, shoot and edit video, post content to digital platforms, and foster relationships with local athletic teams.

Deliver on‑air sports reports, highlights, and live shots from field events, and develop engaging feature stories.

Qualifications/Requirements

2+ years of experience in the sports field.

Proficiency in non‑linear editing (Edius).

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

Ability to work under tight, fast‑paced deadlines and maintain a strong on‑camera presence.
