The Senior Designer plays a key role in shaping and elevating the visual identity of the J.Hilburn custom men’s clothing brand. This position is responsible for developing, managing, and executing major creative initiatives while maintaining the brand’s high design standards across both digital and traditional channels.
The Senior Designer will concept, design, and oversee a wide range of assets including photography, packaging, catalogs, marketing collateral, email campaigns, social media assets, and product illustrations. This is a full‑time, exempt, salaried position reporting to the Art Director and working closely with cross‑functional partners across Creative and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute creative vision in partnership with the Art Director and Brand President
- Develop and drive concepts through close collaboration with Creative and Marketing teams
- Design and produce projects across both traditional and digital media
- Present creative concepts clearly and persuasively to internal teams and senior leadership
- Manage assigned projects throughout all phases of production, including coordinating contractors
- Lead vendor communications related to estimates, production timelines, and budgets
- Uphold and reinforce brand standards with internal partners and external vendors
- Research and apply current design trends, tools, and emerging technologies
- Guide and mentor other designers on the Creative team
- Provide art direction for photography and video projects as needed
- Support additional creative and company initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional graphic design talent with a strong aesthetic sensibility
- Passion for design across concept development, typography, motion, and emotional storytelling
- Advanced understanding of four‑color printing processes, paper grades, and production standards
- Strong knowledge of color profiles and output requirements across platforms
- Ability to tell compelling visual stories through photography
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to lead brainstorms and high‑concept creative discussions
- Creative, self‑driven, organized, and detail‑oriented
- Strong team player who works well with creative direction and feedback
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or Visual Art
- 4+ years of experience as a Senior Designer at an ad agency, design firm, or retail/fashion company
- Prior fashion experience strongly preferred
- Superior graphic design and typography skills
- Knowledge of fashion photography preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Experience working on Mac operating systems
- Experience using Figma
Work Schedule & Travel
- Employees work onsite Monday through Thursday in our Lewisville, TX office, with the option to work remotely on Fridays
