Our Area Marketing Coordinator is an hourly paid position working in-office Mon-Fri at one of either Clifton Park or Watertown, NY locations.

Responsibilities

Lead marketing support to non-hub markets within an Area, in alignment with national marketing objectives and initiatives.

Work under the direct supervision of the Area Marketing Manager (AMM) to develop plays and lead execution of all local marketing activity that requires on-site execution and support (local sales meetings, customer events, product trainings, and vendor/broker activities).

Collaborate with the AMM, VP Merchandising & Marketing, and local VP of Sales to execute annual marketing plans and strategies to meet key results.

Execute all local marketing communications and marketing events in conjunction with the Area Marketing Manager.

Develop tactics at non-hub markets that align with center and area initiatives; support the Area Marketing Manager in day-to-day needs.

Help design, create, and execute marketing plays; manage spend on select events, meetings, sponsorships, and incentives at non-hub markets.

Oversee marketing and sales activities by organizing objectives, presentations, meetings, and disseminating market-specific information quickly and accurately.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver center-led strategies that strengthen brand awareness and market share; craft marketing deliverables and oversee distribution of materials.

Oversee local market activities such as meetings and conferences for attendees from multiple locations.

Understand local market trends and consumer behavior to strengthen campaign execution.

Act as the primary communicator between non-hub and hub markets, ensuring timely and consistent correspondence.

Manage brand guidelines to ensure consistency.

Coordinate with vendors and brokers to ensure compliance with procedures and branding; manage seller training opportunities.

Interact with customers and vendors on local market activities; planning, onsite execution, post-event needs.

Identify opportunities to leverage social media channels and digital marketing platforms to expand local market footprint.

Travel 6-8 times a year between Clifton Park/Albany and Watertown, NY locations for 1-day events.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

Associates Degree or equivalent work experience required

Minimum 3 years related office experience

Related Experience/Requirements:

Ability to work under limited supervision

Knowledge of office administrative procedures and standard office equipment

Excellent prioritization and time management skills

Sound understanding of marketing principles

Ability to build and maintain partnerships with internal and external resources

Proficient communication skills

Experience with content management and online marketing systems

Self-directed and highly motivated

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe InDesign

Strong internet aptitude

Adobe InDesign proficiency preferred

Relationships

Internal: Interacts with various levels and functions to ensure timely communication and task completion; coordinates with Area Hub Corporate Marketing; corresponds with vendors and customers.

External: Interacts with Vendors, Suppliers, Third Party Consultants and Regulatory Bodies.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $25 and $31 per hour. This role will also receive overtime compensation as applicable.
