The best entertainment in the world deserves the best design. Prime Video is re‑inventing how customers connect with their favorite shows, teams, and stories by combining high‑quality live streaming, immersive interactive features, and exclusive access to some of the world’s most loved movies, TV series, and live sports. All from a single service, available on web, mobile, and TV in 240+ countries and territories around the world. And we’re just getting started.
The Prime Video Experience Design team is looking for a customer‑obsessed Sr. UX Designer to join our Growth team. Your focus? Defining, articulating, and championing the future of how customers rent, buy, and subscribe to the content that moves them. We strive to provide customers with the right offer and payment option at the right moment — whether that’s to cheer on their favorite team all season long, settle in for a hassle‑free family movie night, or easily dive into the latest binge‑worthy show.
The ideal candidate designs with clarity and empathy, inspires the people around them, and has a genuine passion for solving problems at global scale. You excel through innovation, creativity, and attention to detail. You believe design is more than how something looks; it’s how it feels and functions. You love a good design debate and thrive on iterating based on real customer feedback.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who establishes vision and strategy, scales their impact through proactive cross‑functional collaboration, and raises the bar for design quality across the team. You’ll build strong relationships with design peers and partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Business counterparts to launch experiences that help customers around the world get the most value and delight from their entertainment budget.
Portfolio depth: You have a portfolio of launched work that demonstrates measurable impact and a strong command of user‑centered design principles.
Improvement instincts: You thrive on finding big and small ways to make the customer experience better — and you never stop looking.
Communication craft: You communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively across audiences and disciplines, whether in person or remote.
Collaborative spirit: You work well in multi‑disciplinary environments where everyone has a seat at the table and shared ownership of customer outcomes.
Comfort with ambiguity: You’re a self‑starter who can wear many hats and navigate uncertainty with confidence.
Key job responsibilities
Thought leadership: Lead strategic design direction across high‑impact initiatives in the Prime Video acquisition space, with a sharp focus on simplifying how customers access their favorite entertainment and live events.
Customer‑centered innovation: Analyze customer problems, define gaps across the customer lifecycle, design delightful and impactful solutions, and measure the success of your UX innovations.
Hands‑on execution: Rapidly generate concepts, flows, mock‑ups, prototypes, and vision artifacts that help teams see the path forward and drive critical decisions — balancing speed with craft.
Collaboration: Work iteratively with a cross‑disciplinary team (business, product, engineering, research) using lean and agile methodologies to explore, test, and ship.
Influence: Present and defend design recommendations to peers, partners, and stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
Systems design: Partner with technology teams to build scalable solutions without compromising core experience principles.
Design evolution: Help shape how design operates in an AI‑accelerated, rapid‑prototyping environment.
A day in the life: You’ll start by digging into a complex customer problem, maybe prompting early concepts for a new channel partnership, or pressure‑testing a prototype that needs to land across the largest (TVs) and smallest (mobile) devices. By mid‑morning, you’re in a design critique with your UX peers, sharpening ideas through constructive feedback. After lunch, you’re jumping into a working session with Product and Engineering to align on what ships next — and what ships right. Some days you’re deep in Figma and AI tools. Some days you’re presenting a vision to senior leadership. Every day, you’re making entertainment better for customers around the world.
About the team: You’ll join a fun, supportive team of UX practitioners who help each other develop and thrive. You will have a mentor and a manager that care about you, your career, and your skills development and be expected to do the same for your team. You will have autonomy and ownership while contributing to the supportive culture on the team. We gather often to collaborate, ask questions, and grow together, so bring your unique skills and experience and be prepared to share, learn, and grow with us.
