The Role
We are currently looking to bring on 2-3 individuals to form our communications team. Tasks will range from content creation and strategy to social media management & coordination. These roles will be key to driving our fundraising efforts, student recruitment, and supporting program campaigns and informational content for our beneficiaries.
Essential Duties
Content Creation
Create and edit a variety of content such as text posts, graphics and videos
Assist with newsletter
Collaborate with Program and Communications teams to determine needs
Monitor trends, platform updates, and emerging formats.
Social Media management
Manage content calendars, scheduling, and publishing across multiple platforms
Engage with followers and manage communities across all platforms
Report to and coordinate with respective team members
Strategy & Coordination
Develop communications plans, timelines, and tools to support initiatives.
Help to craft compelling stories and content to highlight organization's impact and support fundraising initiatives
Establish processes and campaigns to ensure beneficiaries are connected to wider resources
Coordinate with student recruiter to develop and promote outreach to prospective students
Accompany program objectives with communication strategies
Qualifications
Experience in communications preferred
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and individuals
Genuine interest in supporting refugees and migrant populations
Compassionate and demonstrates cultural sensitivity
Comfortable functioning independently in a 100% remote environment with distributed teams
Preference for those fluent in Spanish, Creole, or Arabic
Schedule
Flexible hours with an average of 2-5 hours per week
