Public Relations Account Executive

An Account Executive at V2 Communications is a skilled communicator and media driver who translates client goals into impactful results. AEs use their understanding of their clients’ industries, businesses, and competitive landscapes to drive media relations efforts, develop strong pitch ideas, and deliver measurable results. This role requires resourcefulness, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships with clients and media.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary media relations driver, from developing pitch concepts to securing high-value coverage in trade and business press
  • Draft and edit client-facing materials, including bylined articles, speaking abstracts, award submissions, social content, and press releases
  • Contribute meaningfully to client calls and updates, providing concise updates and informed recommendations
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure that deliverables remain on track, to troubleshoot issues, and to optimize tactics for better results
  • Coach AC and AAE staff on assigned accounts
  • Conduct industry, competitor, and media research to inform strategy and pitch development
  • Maintain consistent quality across deliverables, meeting deadlines while upholding V2’s high standards for accuracy and creativity
  • Other duties as necessary


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of PR experience, at least 1 of which should have been at an agency and preferably in B2B technology
  • Proven ability to develop and execute media relations campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different formats
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows; familiarity with MuckRack a plus
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing attention to detail
  • Collaborative, solutions-focused approach and eagerness to take initiative


Work Environment

This is a full-time hybrid role and will be expected to work from our Boston office at least twice per week, depending on client and team needs. Occasional day and overnight travel for client and V2 purposes may be required.

Compensation

The expected salary for this role is $60,000-$70,000 annually, and may vary based on experience and qualifications.
