Job Title: Broadcast Operations Specialist
Location: Centennial, CO (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $24/hour
Duration: 6-month contract (potential for full-time conversion)
Position Overview
A leading media and entertainment organization is seeking a Broadcast Operations Specialist to support on-air operations during a major systems migration. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless broadcast execution, maintaining programming quality, and supporting live and pre-recorded content across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Support on-air operations during a large-scale systems migration, including programming quality control, commercial rehearsals, and event preparation
- Monitor live and pre-recorded programming to ensure accurate and high-quality broadcast output
- Maintain and update on-air playlists, executing program, commercial, and marketing changes using broadcast automation systems
- Support live event workflows and contingency operations as needed
- Oversee commercial integration, ensuring smooth execution of commercial breaks during live and taped programming
- Monitor multiple channel streams simultaneously, ensuring continuous availability and identifying discrepancies
- Verify readiness of all programming materials prior to on-air playout to ensure continuity
- Act as a final checkpoint for broadcast quality, identifying and resolving audio, video, captioning, and signal issues
- Collaborate with operations teams and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve on-air issues quickly and effectively
- Communicate clearly with production teams to execute playlist or programming adjustments
- Perform additional duties to support Network Operations Center objectives as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with relevant certification, or Associate’s Degree in Media, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Foundational knowledge of television production, broadcast operations, or technical production (news, sports, or entertainment)
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to work onsite in Centennial, CO
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operation
- Must be comfortable viewing a wide range of content, including mature or sensitive material
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
