Job Summary
WKYT is looking for a full‑time Videographer/Editor who is a driven storyteller and understands that photography is more than wide, medium, and tight shots. The role involves shooting creative footage, editing it cohesively, and utilizing sound to bring stories to life. You will use next‑generation cameras, laptop editors, and collaborate with a talented team of photographers, music editors, reporters, and producers.

Responsibilities

Creative shooting and editing of news stories from scripts and field footage.

Working with photographers, music editors, reporters, and producers to produce polished broadcasts.

Acting as a self‑starter, proactively seeking information and asking questions.

Maintaining a can‑do attitude and meeting editorial deadlines.

Qualifications

Experience with professional video cameras and editing software.

Strong storytelling and sound literacy, using microphones to capture context rather than just sound bites.

Self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude and the ability to work independently and on a team.

Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
