Job Title: Graphic Designer II
Location: Beaverton, OR
Duration: 6 Months
Hybrid: Mon - Thurs onsite, Fri remote
Job Description:
• On-site role at WHQ; typical work hours, 4/1 hybrid model
• ~6 month contract, possibility for extension,
• Degree preferred, not a hard requirement
• 2-4 years' minimum experience required in a graphic design role (specifically, graphic design in relation to apparel products)

Responsibilities
• The nature of the work is focused on the appearance of product, communications, or collateral materials. Graphic Design - Under direction from Design management, uses design skills to create original graphic designs that appropriately reflect Client's design ethos.
• These projects include, but are not limited to the development of print, packaging, 3-D retail displays, event signage, logo systems, imagery, video, and collateral materials.
• Effectively uses computerized systems in design process.

Project Management -
Works with functional teams from initial concept development to final production and distribution. Manages individual projects beginning with attending internal briefings, managing timelines, and scheduling work-back schedules, budget management, supplier coordination, reviewing specs, recommending production alternatives, and maintaining quality production standards.

Cost Control -
Manages both individual projects as well as groups ofprojects to stay within stated budgets.
• Estimates all aspects of Cost Control - Manages both individual projects as well as groups of projects to stay within stated budgets.
• Estimates all aspects of project development. Offer production alternatives to provide the best product within the defined budget. Negotiates costs, reviews billing and provides budget reconciliation.

Supplier Liaison -
Arrange the purchasing of goods and services from domestic and international vendors.
• Evaluate vendors. Understand technical aspects, terminology, and equipment involved in film, print, and collateral production.

Client Liaison -
Act as a liaison among Client managers (Image Design, Marketing, product design, etc.) and outside agencies. Communicates Marketing, product design, etc.) and outside agencies.
• Communicates project details, design requirements, scheduling needs, and graphic materials.

Designer Support -
Provides design support for higher level designers as needed.
Education
• Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 2-4 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law 1 yr; Masters 0-3 yrs; Associates degree 1-3 yrs; High School 3-5 yrs.
Additional Notes:
• Candidate will work with apparel team on concepting against a graphic direction; executing schematics to assist product designers; and help create components for presentations
• Will work with ~5 designers on a direct team, but lots of cross functional work
• Submissions MUST have portfolios in order to be considered
• HM anticipates 1-2 rounds of interviews
