Overview
6-month Contract-to-Hire. Location: Remote (EST/CST preferred). Pay: $55-61/hr (compensation can vary depending on experience).
Most Important Responsibilities
Architect, build, and roll out new application capabilities and microservices.
Improve, support, and remediate bugs in existing IAM (identity and access management) systems.
Engage across all phases of SDLC. From technical design through deployment.
Write and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests (Postman, SOAP, UI, Junit).
Develop and consume REST/SOAP APIs and connect with third party SaaS platforms via service integrations.
Investigate, debug, and resolve sophisticated technical problems.
Support the design and delivery of enterprise-level IAM solutions and automated workflows.
Advocate and implement secure authentication, authorization, and provisioning practices.
Collaborate with security and risk stakeholders to surface and address access-related vulnerabilities.
What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization
2+ years of practical IT/application development experience.
Front-end/UI development background, ideally with Angular.
Strong experience working with JSON, XML, and associated schema and validation technologies.
Hands-on proficiency with Postman for API development workflows and testing.
Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
Exposure to languages including Java, Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell scripting.
Familiarity with platforms and tools such as GitHub, Maven, and JBoss.
Capability to build, consume, and debug web service integrations.
Background working with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server).
Comfort operating across both Windows and Linux server environments.
Availability for application support duties, including participation in an on-call rotation.
Analytic thinking, problem solving ability, and technical troubleshooting skills.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
Experience implementing or managing IAM components including:
User lifecycle management and account provisioning
Access governance frameworks and role-based models
Authentication and authorization protocols (Kerberos, SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, XACML)
Provisioning protocols (SCIM, SPML)
API security, MFA, and SSO implementations.
Experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure AD/Entra ID development or integration work.
Grounding in secure development practices and static/dynamic code analysis tooling.
Prior exposure to Agile methodologies, DevSecOps principles, or CI/CD pipeline environment.
