Junior Designer Job Description

Studio AHEAD is a San Francisco-based art and design collective.
This full-time position is located in Mission Creek, San Francisco, close to the SF Design District.
Responsibilities

Design and production support for all office projects, sourcing materials as directed by designers and principals.
Source items, price and research condition.
Apply knowledge of space planning, furniture selection and layout.
Under supervision of senior designers, generate professional and detailed drawings, project sketches, space planning, floor plans and elevations in CAD or SketchUp as necessary.
Shop, request samples and materials as needed.
Produce presentations to illustrate design intent and assemble presentation boards.
Assist at client meetings as requested to provide service and amenities to clients.
Procurement, production and installation assistance as needed.
Keep updated, accurate and organized project information for each project.
Track time daily and note billable hours.
Skills

Proficiency with Google Drive and Adobe Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator).
Minimum 2 years of design office experience and proficiency with AutoCAD and SketchUp.
Proficiency with Pinterest, social media formats, and video conferencing.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Graphic design and layout skills.
High level of attention to detail and follow-up.
Self-starter with ability to work productively and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
Valid California driver’s license, access to automobile.
Enjoy working with others, team player.
Qualifications

Minimum of two years of experience in residential interior design with a focus on high-end residential projects.
