VIDEO PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
Garden Valley Technologies is looking for a new team member to fill a full-time, fully benefited Video Production Coordinator position. This is a dynamic position responsible for a wide variety of tasks associated with airing of content on GVT’s local channels, including live high school events, mobile productions, livestreaming, weekly community programs, and other tasks related to media production, broadcasting, and marketing for GVT. This position is generally scheduled to work 40 hours per week, depending on the Company’s requirements.
Hourly Compensation: $21.12 - $35.52 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys the challenge of a dynamic work environment and ever-changing technology.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform a full range of video production duties to support the on-going operation of Garden Valley Technologies’ local access television channels.
Coordinate, set up, and monitor live high school events, mobile productions, livestreaming, and weekly community programs.
Operate, install, and maintain GV video production equipment. Train high school students in the proper use of video production equipment. Respond to and resolve emergency calls from student production help during non-scheduled hours.
Create impact videos, from conceptualization to storyboarding, filming and final editing, ranging in length from short clips to longer forms, on various creative topics. The final versions will be prepared to fit various platforms (social media, website, broadcast, etc.).
Review, evaluate, and edit footage ensuring final version serves the Company’s business goals, objectives, and message.
Collaborate with the Marketing department to create, edit and package high-quality and engaging content for use in marketing campaigns, promotions, and Company public events utilizing video production, AI tools, and editing skills and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Skill and understanding of digital video recording, production, sound, and editing techniques, using digital video production equipment, a video switcher (tri-caster), audio mixer, digital video editors, and sound capture and lighting equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot any issues related to local channel broadcasting.
Share information and skills with team members, students, and media advisors in a positive and respectful manner.
The desire to learn existing and future technologies, including AI tools, digital media trends, and content strategies, and proactively seeking opportunities for increasing knowledge and abilities.
Have neat and orderly work habits, great organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail while completing tasks accurately.
The ability to function independently, and as a team with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative, making sound decisions using the information at hand, while maintaining confidentiality.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers, members, customers, business contacts, and the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Proficient in operating personal computers, iPad, various software packages, and other technology.
The ability and willingness to adjust to changes in primary duties according to workload and as required by the Company.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, according to workload and Company requirements.
The ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and comfortably handle and shoot with a broadcast video camera on your shoulder.
A valid insurable MN driver’s license, with skill in pulling and backing a production trailer, and must maintain insurability with GV’s current auto insurance provider.
Preference may be given to applicant with:
Skill, and/or training in video production, editing, and content creation.
Skill and/or training in graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects, and/or Final Cut Pro.
Skill and/or training in social media platforms.
