Why does this role exist?

This role exists to elevate and standardize product and lifestyle imagery across the brand's website, marketplaces, and social platforms, ensuring every asset aligns with a clean, fashion-forward aesthetic. As the catalog and content volume increases, the brand needs a dedicated editor to improve turnaround times, maintain consistency, and optimize assets for performance. The goal is to enhance conversion, brand credibility, and speed-to-publish through expert photo editing and efficient workflows.

The Impact you'll make

Photo Retouching and Color Management

Perform color correction, exposure/lighting adjustments, cropping, and background cleanup
Retouch product and model images while maintaining a natural, brand-true look
Apply non-destructive editing techniques and maintain consistent retouching standards
E-commerce and Social Asset Preparation

Prepare images for website, marketplaces, catalogs, and email marketing
Resize, export, and optimize files for Instagram, Pinterest, ads, and lookbooks
Ensure all assets meet platform specifications (dimensions, format, file size, naming)
Brand Consistency and Quality Assurance

Adhere to brand guidelines and visual standards across all imagery
Conduct final QA checks to ensure color, skin tones, fabric textures, and edges are polished
Implement feedback quickly and iterate efficiently to reduce revision cycles
File Management and Workflow

Organize, label, and maintain photo libraries and shared folders for easy retrieval
Follow standardized naming conventions and version control
Track progress and deadlines to keep deliverables on schedule
Collaboration and Communication

Partner with design and marketing to understand creative direction and timelines
Clarify briefs, propose edits, and surface issues proactively
Support campaign launches with timely asset delivery
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:

2+ years of photo editing in fashion/e-commerce with direct experience in women's apparel
Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop; strong retouching, masking, and color correction
Portfolio showcasing fashion/product editing work (before/after examples preferred)
Demonstrated experience preparing assets for e-commerce platforms and social media
Ability to work 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday-Friday; reliable high-speed internet and strong deadline management
WFH Set-Up:

Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
Back-up computer and internet connection
Quiet, dedicated workspace at home

Technical: Advanced Photoshop; working knowledge of Lightroom; image optimization for web; file naming/metadata best practices; non-destructive workflows; basic Canva familiarity
Aesthetic: Sharp eye for color accuracy, fabric detail, skin tones, and clean edges; strong sense of brand cohesion
Operational: Meticulous organization, time management, and adherence to process
Interpersonal: Clear communication, responsiveness, and openness to feedback; ability to work independently and collaboratively

Work Setup:

Remote position
Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
Required to provide own computer with Intel Core i5 or something similar or higher operating system
Working Hours:

40 hours per week
Monday to Friday 9:00 AM-6:00 PM Pacific Time (40 hrs/week)
Compensation:

$7 per hour
