KTBS 3 has been providing broadcasting services to the ArkLaTex region for nearly 70 years, operating from a state-of-the-art digital facility in Shreveport. Located within five hours of seven major cities, Shreveport is a bustling hub for film and television production. KTBS 3 is a locally owned station known for its community identity and was the first in the region to broadcast local news in high definition.

Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Television News Producer. The Television News Producer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of news production for broadcasts. Tasks include developing news stories, overseeing news writing, coordinating with news teams, ensuring timely and high-quality broadcasting, and adapting content for various platforms. The Television News Producer will also ensure compliance with broadcasting standards and work closely with technical teams to deliver seamless productions.

Qualifications

Skills in Television News and News Production

Proficiency in News Writing

Experience in Broadcasting and Broadcast Television

Strong organizational and leadership abilities

Ability to work independently and remotely

Familiarity with various broadcasting platforms and technologies

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field

Experience in a similar role is advantageous
