Video Editor / Motion Designer

What You’ll Do

Edit commercial, branded, documentary, and social-first video content
Design and animate motion graphics, title sequences, explainers, and visual systems
Collaborate with directors, producers, and creatives to shape narrative and pacing
Build clean, modern edits with strong music sensibility and visual storytelling instincts
Handle color prep, sound mix prep, asset organization, and finishing workflows
Create cutdowns and alternate formats optimized for social platforms
Contribute to creative development, references, treatments, and visual exploration
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high production standards
Help evolve Recreation’s visual style and post-production workflow
What We’re Looking For

3–7+ years of professional editing and motion design experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating both editorial storytelling and motion design work
Advanced proficiency in: After Effects
Experience with a plus: Cinema 4D and/or Blender
Frame.io workflows
Social content formatting and delivery
Strong understanding of pacing, typography, composition, sound design, and contemporary visual culture
Ability to take creative direction while also contributing original ideas
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and file management skills
Comfortable working in fast-paced production environments
Bay Area-based and available for in-person collaboration, shoots, and edit sessions
