UI Designer- Design Systems
Join a dynamic, high-impact team as a UI Designerspecializing in Design Systems & Accessibility. This hands-on, delivery-oriented contract role offers the opportunity to lead the exploration, definition, and phased implementation of an enterprise design system across a complex digital ecosystem. You'll play a critical part in shaping reusable, accessible UI components that support seamless user experiences for medical students, professionals, and institutions. Bring your extensive experience in design systems, technical collaboration, and accessibility to make a lasting difference in healthcare education technology.

Required Skills

7+ years of experience in UI design, UI engineering, or a hybrid role with a focus on design system development

Extensive experience creating, implementing, and governing enterprise-scale design systems

Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and practical application in digital platforms

Proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams, including front-end developers, to ensure feasible, scalable designs

Hands-on experience with component libraries, design tokens, and semantic HTML/CSS

Portfolio demonstrating comprehensive design systems workExcellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes

Nice to Have Skills

Experience working with Salesforce and Ionic mobile frameworks

Knowledge of Angular or similar front-end technologies

Previous involvement in accessibility audits, remediation, or governance frameworks

Experience working with CRM platforms and understanding their UI/UX constraints

Ability to support early implementation, pilots, or proofs of concept

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field

7+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design or engineering within enterprise environments
