We are seeking an Event Designer to lead efforts in the planning of corporate, non-profit, and social events. Many of these events will take place throughout the five-state region; however, some will be located in other parts of the country. Event Designer candidates must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends and have the ability to travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Event Designer, you will play a critical role in bringing client visions to life from concept through execution. Responsibilities include:
Event Planning + Execution
Lead the coordination of event logistics, timelines, and production details
Participate in client design sessions to understand goals, vision, and audience
Conduct research to support event concepts, venues, and experiences
Oversee venue sourcing, layout planning, and on‑site execution
Manage vendor relationships, including sourcing, communication, and contract negotiation
Coordinate entertainment, talent booking, and program elements
Participate in post‑event debrief session to review successes and opportunities
Design + Collaboration
Collaborate with Event Project Managers and the Creative Team
Contribute to the development of event design boards and client presentations
Assist the Event Project Manager with managing event budgets
Stay informed on industry trends and emerging event innovations
Vendor + Partner Relations
Serve as a key point of contact for event vendors and partners
Maintain clear, timely and professional communication across all stakeholders
Schedule and lead vendor planning meetings
Support the growth and stewardship of long‑term client relationships
QUALIFICATIONS + EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
2+ years of experience in event planning, project management, or vendor management
Event Designer experience in corporate events, nonprofit fundraising, or development preferred
Proven ability to manage events from concept through execution
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Trello, Basecamp or similar)
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to adapt under pressure
Self‑starter with a proactive mindset and attention to detail
ADDITIONAL SKILLS + REQUIREMENTS
Creative thinker with a strong eye for design and detail
Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and file‑sharing tools
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed
