About the role

Insight Xcite is seeking a Web Developer to support mission‑critical operational and enterprise environments within the Intelligence Community. This role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing modern web applications and user interfaces supporting customer missions and enterprise operations. The ideal candidate has strong frontend and web development experience, enjoys building intuitive and responsive applications, and thrives in collaborative engineering environments. Compensation is determined based on experience, technical expertise, certifications, mission requirements, and overall alignment with customer and contract needs.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications and user interfaces

Develop responsive and user‑friendly frontend solutions

Collaborate with backend developers, engineers, and operational stakeholders

Support integration of APIs and enterprise services into web applications

Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and usability issues

Participate in Agile development and DevOps activities

Contribute to secure software development practices

Develop and maintain technical documentation and code repositories

Required Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)

Minimum 6 years of web development or software development experience

Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript

Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue

Experience integrating APIs and backend services

Experience with Git and version control practices

Understanding of responsive design and modern UI/UX principles

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with backend or full stack development

Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure

Experience supporting Intelligence Community or government environments

Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, or automation tools

Experience with accessibility and performance optimization

Relevant technical certifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills

The pay range for this role is:

170,000 - 220,000 USD per year (Government Client Site – Herndon VA)
