Overview

This position reports to the Director of Strategic Initiative Office (SIG) and serves as a principal strategic planner and engagement advisor to the DeCA Director of the Strategic Initiative Office, informing and educating both internal and external audiences.

Duties

As the Strategic Planning and Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Leads development and alignment of DeCA’s long-range strategic plans with DoD and agency priorities.
Creates and coordinates agency-wide communication strategies, including senior leader messaging and high-visibility products.
Provides strategic analysis and recommendations to leadership on initiatives, performance measures, and organizational impacts.
Facilitates cross-directorate collaboration to synchronize planning, modernization, and operational initiatives.
Develops and implements change-management and stakeholder-engagement plans for agency transformation efforts.
Evaluates program effectiveness, tracks performance metrics, and prepares reports and dashboards for leadership review.
Requirements

GS-13
Leading development of strategic plans aligning agency priorities with guidance.
Developing agency-wide communication products and senior leader messaging.
Advising leadership using performance data to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
Coordinating cross-directorate planning efforts to synchronize enterprise initiatives.
Executing change-management and stakeholder-engagement activities for major reforms.

Additional information
