Position Overview
The Warehouse Associate & Lighting Display Technician supports both warehouse operations and showroom display functions for LightStyles / Builders Source Costa Mesa.

This role is responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, inventory support, and maintaining organized warehouse operations, while also assisting with lighting display installation, fixture assembly, and basic technical support in the showroom.

What You’ll Do
Warehouse Operations (approximately 80%)

Load and unload lighting and electrical products from delivery trucks

Verify product quantities against packing lists and inspect items for damage

Receive orders into the ERP system accurately

Restock showroom and warehouse inventory

Pick, pull, pack, palletize, label, and stage customer orders

Verify orders for completeness and accuracy before shipment or delivery

Count and reconcile inventory to maintain accuracy

Process returned merchandise and restock product to the correct bin locations

Report product damage, shortages, equipment issues, and inventory discrepancies

Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and dock areas

Follow security and closing procedures

Follow all safety policies and help maintain a safe work environment

Support operational needs across teams as business demands require

Showroom & Display Support (approximately 20%)

Assist with installation, modification, and maintenance of showroom lighting displays

Assemble and install light fixtures such as chandeliers, ceiling fans, and track lighting

Use hand tools to assemble, adjust, and install lighting components

Help keep showroom displays clean, functional, and visually appealing

Identify and help order replacement parts and lighting components

Assist showroom staff and customers with basic technical product and installation questions

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent

Warehouse experience in stocking, picking, packing, shipping, or material handling preferred

Experience with dollies, lifting equipment, or other warehouse tools preferred

Basic electrical or lighting fixture installation experience preferred

Retail or showroom experience in lighting, home improvement, building products, or related industries preferred

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and fixtures

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Reliable attendance and strong dependability

Valid driver’s license and liability insurance required

Preferred Technical Skills

Basic knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners

General knowledge of ERP, CRM, or POS systems

Comfort with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet-based systems

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly

Ability to move light fixtures and other materials safely

Comfortable working with warehouse equipment, ladders, and installation tools

This role works out of a retail showroom and warehouse environment with moderate noise levels. The position involves product handling, display installation support, and regular collaboration with showroom and operations teams.

Travel Requirements

Local day travel may be required up to 25% of the time

Initial training may require local travel to Orange, CA
