Job Summary
This position provides strategic leadership, direction and coordination of Inogen's
patient-focused
sales staff and initiatives. The position will be responsible for leading a sales team across multiple locations comprised of sales management and inside sales professionals who will focus directly on homecare patients. The VP Direct to Patient Sales will also have responsibility for Inogen's physician sales team.
The VP Direct to Patient Sales will be responsible for developing sales plans, forecasts, expense budgets, and strategies, as well as achieving targets and business results in accordance with Inogen's Annual Operating Plan.
Responsibilities

Responsible for sales performance of team and accountable to deliver sales results per plan. Develop and refine sales plan and forecast on an ongoing basis, reflecting continuous improvement.
Develop expense budgets and manage team expenses within plan.
Provide coaching and assistance to team members to ensure the sales team is adequately prepared to interact with Inogen's customer base, that policies, procedures, and work instructions are followed consistently, and that training is consistent and sufficient.
Ensure Direct to Patient inside sales and Referral Development Manager outside sales channels are aligned and work effectively together to meet Inogen's goals and exceed customer expectations.
Own and lead the development and modification of sales department policies, procedures, and work instructions. Make ongoing improvements based on metrics to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
Work with Sales Management and Sales Members to execute trials that generate sales expansion, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
Develop and analyze metrics to interpret and explain underlying drivers of sales performance. Present findings in formal business reviews with executive staff.
Establish a team culture of respect and achievement, leading by example.
Work with EVP, Sales and Marketing to set appropriate performance metrics and implement action plans to address variances.
Track performance metrics and generate sales reports to manage team performance effectively.
Ensure sales processes are followed and all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of customer service.
Collaborate with other department managers to promote teamwork focused on patient service and operational efficiency.
Meet human resource goals through coaching, development, and implementation of programs that attract and retain top talent.
Work with team members to develop best practices and continuous improvements.
Complete additional special projects as needed.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Assist with any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
(Experience and Education)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Communications, or a related field (required).
15+ years of experience in Sales or Customer Service (required); 5+ years with 65+ demographics preferred.
10+ years of management experience with a minimum of five direct reports.
At least 3 years of Director-level experience in a large corporation (required).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (required).
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Inogen assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between$167,000.00 and $200,000.00 annually plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Commission Plan.However,actualbase salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basisand will be based on non-discriminatory factors, includingas toindividual skills, education,experience and market location.
