WMAR, the Scripps ABC affiliate in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a talented Photographer to capture and tell the stories that matter to our community. In this full-time, onsite role, you'll be the visual storyteller behind the news, working alongside our newsroom team to create compelling content that informs and engages viewers across multiple platforms. What You'll Do:
Capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms.
Operate and maintain live equipment including microwave, satellite and related news gathering equipment.
Work in tandem with newsroom personnel to create and develop news stories.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Associates degree in related discipline preferred
Generally 2+ years of experience in related field preferred
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits
What You'll Bring:
Proficiency with lighting and computer based editing
Proficiency with live microwave truck operation
Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station's web sites
Able to work efficiently under multiple deadlines on a daily basis
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Compensation Range:

Hourly: $29.80 - $30.70 Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in Maryland.
