Position Summary
The
Associate VP
serves as a Department Leader for the Learning and Development function responsible for learning operations, program management, and Standard Operating Procedures operation. The AVP will be responsible for strategy, planning, development and delivery of learning program products and tools to enable learning throughout our enterprises globally and learning ecosystems. The AVP leads and develops a team of Learning Advisors and manages learning vendor relationships and contracts. Additionally, the AVP will serve as a business thought partner and work with global teams and business leaders to identify learning objectives, design content and learning experiences that align with our business goals, process operations and talent development needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead a team of Learning Advisors, create team development plans, job descriptions, career pathing and deliver learning experiences for the team.
Manage Employee Lifecycle Process: interview, hire, onboard, performance manage, employee development, discipline, recognition, termination.
Responsible for team employee engagement and experience.
Manage department communications, learning department marketing campaigns, and internal sites.
Manage and audit learning data and present monthly and quarterly outcomes.
Create and manage department strategic plans with quarterly goals and business alignment.
Design, build and maintain learning products, tools and templates for global standardization.
Manage content and subscription access for learning materials through learning vendors.
Assist with or manage learning policy development and employee learning incentive program.
Manage vendor contracts and budgets for LMS, LXP and other learning systems and subscriptions.
Partner with business units, various levels of leadership and stakeholders and maintain relationships for talent development.
Conduct needs analysis, analyze responsibilities, skills, capabilities and performance needs, and propose targeted learning solutions to close gaps, evolve capability and align with business objectives.
Design, build and establish leadership development programs.
Design, build and maintain global learning standard tools and SOPs.
Conduct and facilitate virtual and in-person training, practice labs, and workshops.
Recommend and build measurement tools, assessments and knowledge checks for specific solutions.
Collaborate with global teams to explore new tools, methods and technologies for improved learning experiences.
Internal lead for special learning programs.
Curate, create, facilitate, present and manage multi-tiered leadership, professional and personal development programs.
Assist Learning Advisors and department trainers with building department training programs.
This role requires regular on-site attendance due to the need for real-time collaboration, secure system access and effective coordination with internal teams and stakeholders.
Travel (domestic and international) may be required occasionally to attend team on-site meetings, client events, industry conferences and training sessions.
Marginal Functions
Build, maintain and promote relationships with team members, peers across disciplines, and all other company team members ensuring effective coordination of communications and services affecting clients.
Attend webinars and training to stay up to date on best practices related to the company and department.
Complete projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of experience, skills, education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications or job training programs) preferred.
10+ years of business operations, learning, human resources organization/talent development or relevant experience.
7+ years of leadership/management experience.
7+ years of vendor management/relationship management and department budget management.
7+ years of senior leadership and/or executive partnerships, business strategy, goal and business objective alignment.
5+ years in corporate learning, instructional design or equivalent and department/business partnerships.
5+ years of experience with a learning management system (LMS) or learning experience platform (LXP) and learning product and content development.
This role requires a valid, non-restrictive driver's license as it involves regular travel to client sites and company locations.
Must possess a valid passport and be willing to travel internationally on occasion.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications
Learning, Human Resources, Association for Talent Development (ATD) or SHRM Certification or equivalent preferred or ability to obtain.
