Senior Graphic Designer

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for leading the conceptual development and execution of high-impact creative across the American Performance division. This role is a key driver of visual storytelling — owning the creation of campaign Key Art, visual identities, and creative direction for product launches, promotions, and brand initiatives.
This role combines conceptual creative leadership with hands-on design execution, requiring the Senior Graphic Designer to develop big ideas and visual systems while also delivering high-quality, production-ready assets across channels. As an individual contributor, this role is embedded within the American Performance division and reports into the Manager, Go-To-Market & Brand Operations. The role will work closely with product, content, community, and other marketing teams to deliver cohesive, effective creative that aligns with brand standards, campaign briefs, and delivering authentic connection with our enthusiast communities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop high-impact campaign-level concepts for product launches, promotions, and brand initiatives that resonate with an enthusiast audience
Translate marketing briefs into compelling visual narratives and creative directions
Execute conceptual and production-ready design work for assigned projects which could range across all marketing channels, though most requests will be for brand guides, campaign concept generation, website assets, and digital marketing executions
Demonstrate curiosity and fluency with emerging AI-enabled creative tools, using them thoughtfully to improve speed, workflow efficiency, and creative output while maintaining strong design judgment and brand standards
Support evolution of current naming conventions, project codes, and taxonomy for improved tracking and efficiency
Support development of holistic creative for product launches, promotional campaigns, awareness initiatives, and evergreen marketing efforts
Create materials for a range of audiences, including enthusiast-facing, retail/distributor channel, and investor-facing communications
Contribute to event and tradeshow creative concepts and executions
Ensure all creative outputs align with brand guidelines and maintain a high standard of design excellence
Contribute to the evolution of brand visual identities across all iconic performance brands within the Division
Support generation of brand templates and helpful toolkits / assets for other content creation teams, including social media, email, blog, and web merchandising.
Maintain attention to detail across all deliverables; support other team designers and content creators with creative reviews and feedback
Qualifications
7+ years of professional graphic design experience
Experience working within an advertising agency environment
Ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders, translating ambiguous or evolving inputs into clear, compelling creative solutions without requiring prescriptive direction
Strong portfolio demonstrating proven ability to translate strategy and briefs into compelling visual solutions
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Prior experience in Figma or similar tool
Experience utilizing workflow management tools like Asana, Monday.com, and Smartsheet
Comfortable using AI and other emerging creative tools to accelerate concepting, production, and workflow efficiency while preserving originality, brand integrity, and design excellence
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, layout, and visual storytelling
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience in automotive, aftermarket, or enthusiast-driven industries strongly preferred
Experience developing creative for product launches and integrated marketing campaigns
Exposure to working with cross-functional marketing teams and go-to-market processes
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred
