Responsibilities
KTVT-TV, the Dallas‑Fort Worth CBS Owned and Operated station, is in search of a newscast producer. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, excellent news judgment, and proven advanced storytelling abilities.
Responsibilities include identifying and creating content as well as working closely with reporters on story development. Must craft a newscast that includes more than just story placement! The Producer will focus on thoughtful transitions and breakout opportunities; strong tease writing; creative use of graphics; and advanced production techniques. Must be solid in the booth with effective communication skills, the ability to make quick decisions and manage breaking news.
Minimum two years proven experience as a line producer in a medium or large market preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
Must be results‑oriented, innovative, demonstrate teamwork and be willing to work weekends.
Bachelor’s or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred.
