Dallas Hoop Scene (DHS) is the leading media brand for high school basketball in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. For 4+ years we've built the definitive platform for DFW hoops — 41K+ on Instagram, a team of 10+ creators, and a growing ecosystem covering media, events, and sponsorships. Our work showcases the athletes, teams, and programs shaping Texas basketball, from local gyms to national-level events. We're expanding across the state, and we're looking for creatives who want to build something bigger than a job.

Role Description
We're hiring a Videographer to shoot, edit, and deliver elite basketball content across DHS platforms. This is a weekend-heavy role covering live games, tournaments, player highlights, team promos, and brand/event work across the DFW area (with occasional travel to events like GASO in San Antonio). You'll shoot games Friday–Sunday, then edit and deliver content throughout the week — mixtapes, recap reels, and cinematic brand pieces seen by tens of thousands of fans, players, and coaches.

What You'll Do

Shoot live high school basketball games and events on weekends

Edit short-form social content (IG Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) during the week

Produce longer-form features, highlight mixtapes, and brand/sponsor content

Coordinate shoots — venues, lighting, angles, coverage plans

Collaborate with the DHS team on creative direction and content strategy

Qualifications

1+ year of videography experience (sports or event work is a plus, not a requirement)

Proficiency with modern camera systems, lenses, stabilizers, and lighting

Strong editing skills in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut

Portfolio or reel demonstrating your eye — sports, hype, or social-first content preferred

Solid understanding of what works on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube

Availability on weekends (Fri–Sun is prime time) and flexible weekday hours for editing

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel across DFW

Passion for basketball — you know the game and can anticipate the shot before it happens

Bonus: experience with audio capture, drone footage, or motion graphics
