The Internal Wholesaler (VP, Internal Sales Director) assists in raising and retaining assets within a geographic territory by making proactive phone calls to financial advisers to share sales ideas, provide product information, investment updates and offer sales support. This individual develops and maintains relationships with existing financial advisers in order to sell funds and identifies new sales opportunities. The Internal Wholesaler also develops and implements a business plan and sales strategy taking direction from the territory's External Wholesaler.

The ideal candidate would reside on the West Coast.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Achieve sales and activity goals
Work as a team with the External Wholesaler to raise capital for private real estate funds
Establish new relationships with Broker Dealers, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and family offices (FOs) through significant prospecting efforts within the defined territory
Build, grow, and maintain existing advisor relationships by developing a thorough understanding of Carter Funds and successfully educate advisors
Use phone, email, and virtual meetings to raise capital for private real estate funds
Schedule in-person, drop-ins, phone, and virtual appointments for external wholesaler(s)
Schedule attendance for Carter due diligence events, conference dinners, and other sales meetings
Become adept at using Salesforce and FINTRX to run reports, log daily activity, and identify new sales opportunities
Communicate regularly with financial advisors to assist in increasing sales productivity
Develop a thorough understanding of the capital markets, the investment management industry, and marketplace developments
Assess the needs of each client by asking targeted, high impact questions to ultimately identify the correct prospects and service existing clients
Occasionally travel to national sales meetings, due diligence events, or industry conferences to represent Carter Funds
Send daily wrap up email to external wholesaler reporting on daily activities achieved
Work with administrative assistants to educate regarding the account opening process and oversee processing of subscription agreements
Review daily sales reports to identify NIGOs and coordinate with investor relations, transfer agents and custodians to resolve NIGOs. Work closely with the operations team to solve any other client issues
In collaboration with the external wholesaler, analyze and report sales activities
Assist external wholesaler(s) with ordering sales collateral and distributing marketing materials
Proactively support team initiatives and complete special projects and other duties as assigned
Coordinate with marketing team to ensure all materials and communications are sent appropriately
Assist in any administrative duties for team as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree required
FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses in good standing
Required Experience/Skills

Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM systems
Strong understanding of investments and the sales process, with a genuine interest in markets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Professional presence and poise, with strong presentation skills, high energy, and self-motivation
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Regularly performs physical activities including standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for grasping and coordination.
Occasionally lifts, carries, pushes or pulls items up to 50 lbs.; climbs, balances, stoops, crouches, and works at heights up to 40 feet.
May be exposed to varying environmental conditions including humidity, moving equipment, and, on rare occasions, extreme temperatures or airborne particles.
