Description
PURPOSE:

To lead and oversee all aspects of audio and video production within ReFrame Ministries, ensuring the highest quality audio and visual content. This position is responsible for developing and managing ReFrame’s master production schedule, overseeing the ongoing maintenance of ReFrame’s production studio, and managing relationships and budget for multiple audio and video contractors to ensure timely production. This role will use best practices to deliver exceptional audio and video content for ReFrame Ministries.

This position is full-time at 36 hours a week and offers a hybrid work schedule, an attractive benefits package (including retirement fund contribution), and three weeks of vacation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following:

Act as a versatile leader who can solve complex audio and video challenges with practical technical skills.

Produce high-quality audio & video programs for ReFrame Ministries. Including audio and video recording, production, and use of music and other effects for regular program production and special projects.

Assist language ministry program producers and advancement staff in preparation of audio and video content.

Record, mix, and edit audio and video programs for English, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian language ministries. Enhance sound quality and add sound effects.

Serve as the primary problem solver for all studio technology, troubleshooting audio and video issues as they arise.

Serve as technical producer for all productions and director as needed, ensuring high-quality production outputs.

Ensure that studio equipment is well-maintained to deliver the highest quality recordings.

Stay well-informed on industry changes, recommending new equipment and software purchases, as necessary.

Collaborate with producers to create content for social media.

Responsible for posting, distribution, and duplication of all ReFrame programs.

Serve as supplemental voice talent for programming, bumpers, and tags.

Manage contractor relationships and suggest budget allocations for the English Director’s final approval.

Manage scheduling and production in ReFrame’s studio.

Collaborate with the English Director to manage resourcing and inventory of audio and video production equipment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Able to support the mission, vision, and values of the CRCNA.

Thorough knowledge and demonstrated ability in areas of audio/video production.

Familiarity with digital audio/video equipment and audio/video production workflows.

Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in theatrical production and post-production; i.e., sound effects, foley, audio track enhancement, and other areas.

Experience with radio-station content distribution preferred.

Cross-cultural competency and familiarity with multiple languages and is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to plan and organize complex tasks and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.

Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to explore new possibilities.

Takes complete ownership of projects, effectively working as both an independent leader and a collaborative team member.

Bachelor’s degree in communication, media production, or a related field is preferred.

Intermediate experience in multimedia program production is required.

This role involves lifting and carrying heavy audio/video equipment, standing, walking, bending, and stooping, as well as precise handling of delicate gear. The employee will need to perform with good vision and hearing, manual dexterity, and be comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including low light and noise.

Travel as needed to lead on-site shoots, including domestic and international locations.

Hybrid work schedule coming into the denomination office located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as needed.

Frequent video calls/meetings are required

Regular travel within Canada and the United States, including occasional weekends and evenings as needed.

Occasional international travel to destinations with rough terrain may be requested.
