Who we are and what we do:
The Tennessee Attorney General and Reporter represent all State executives, officials, departments, boards, agencies, and commissions in matters arising from their public duties. Such representation includes participation in litigation, transactional matters, and giving day-to-day legal advice to a wide variety of State entities. The Attorney General's Office employs approximately 200 attorneys organized into 22 regular divisions within 5 sections.

How you make a difference in this role:
The Tennessee Attorney Generals Office has an immediate opportunity for a Web Developer to develop new applications and convert legacy applications. The Web Developer will provide operational and developmental support for all applications. Operational support includes maintaining all web applications developed in house, monitoring and maintaining system capacity, data security, systems documentation and management tools. Developmental support includes developing customized applications for replacement of antiquated applications and new functionality. The successful applicant must be able to work in a collaborative environment, have strong communication and customer service skills and be able to work under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop new applications and enhance current applications

Work with Business Analyst to gather workflow for old applications to be converted over to web applications, offering appropriate solutions

Design test plans to ensure that the application works and meets divisional needs

Provide support to automate, emulate and enhance business processes of each division within their customized applications

Prepare and/or review status, progress and performance reports

Utilize data modeling knowledge to provide designs that will meet performance and scalability requirements

Support Project Management with the development and roll out of applications, including SharePoint development for Office 365 in the cloud

Create support documentation for all applications developed

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Experience:
Full stack development

Entity Framework

Proficient in Angular, .Net, C#, IIS

Familiarity with JavaScript, Visual Basic, PowerShell

Relational databases, Data Normalization

Strong SQL skills including, SSRS, SSMS, Stored Procedures, Triggers and Functions

Restful APIs

Strong communication skills with multiple levels within the organization

3+ years in web / application development and testing

Preferred Experience:
Service Now

Microsoft Power Platform

Team Foundation Server, DevOps

Microsoft Office, Windows Operating Systems, Windows Server Applications

Legal management systems, Document management systems

SharePoint Development/Administration skills

Utilizing AI as a tool

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's or associate degree in information technology or information systems

OR

a minimum of four years of relevant web development experience
